New Year’s Day: New Year is celebrated on 1st January every year around the world. New year holiday is observed on 1st January and all the Federal Offices including Post Offices are closed on this day.

Martin Luther King Day: The US celebrates the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. on the third Monday of January each year, which is around King’s birthday, January 15.

Washington’s Birthday: The Third Federal holiday of the year i.e. Washington’s Birthday is observed on the third Monday of February in honor of the first President of the United States. 

Memorial Day: The Fourth Federal holiday of the year i.e. Memorial Day is observed on the last Monday every year in the United States for remembering the people who died while serving in the country’s armed forces. All the federal offices are closed on this day as well including post offices.

Independence Day: The fifth Federal holiday of the year i.e. Independence Day is celebrated on July 4th every year across the country. This day marks the freedom of United States from the British Empire. This holiday is fixed and celebrated on July 4th only across the United States.

Labor Day: The sixth Federal holiday of the year i.e. Labor Day is observed on the first Monday of the year every year. All the post offices will be closed on the first Monday of the September.

Columbus Day: The Seventh Federal holiday of the year i.e. Columbus Day is observed on the second Monday of October. This day is celebrated as the anniversary of Christopher Columbus’ arrival in the Americas.

Veterans Day: The Eighth Federal holiday of the year i.e. Veterans Day is observed November 11, every year across the country. This day is celebrated to honors military veterans i.e. persons who served in the United States Armed Forces.

Thanksgiving Day: The Ninth Federal holiday of the year i.e. Thanksgiving Day is observed on the fourth week of November, every year across the country. This is a floating holiday and can float between 22nd to 28th November, depending on the year. All the US Postal Services are closed for this holiday.

Christmas Day: The most celebrated Federal holiday of the year i.e. Christmas Day is observed on December 25th every year. This day is celebrated as the birth of Jesus Christ and all the Post offices are closed on this day.
